I often think about those whose only ambition in life is to barely test the limits of what they are fully mentally, physically, and spiritually capable of. Those who wake up in the morning with literally no desire or ache within them to have any intellectual impact or opinion regarding the world they effortlessly call home. People have lost any societal or survival requirement to involve themselves in nature, therefore, they become nature recluses and avoid contact with any real substance. The notion of living in nature is to seek with desperation of who you are and what is your purpose on this earth aside from mass consumerism and self indulgence. Perhaps the real cause of lack of connection and human’s shallow mental interactions is due to the fact that human’s have a great obsession with selfish leisure activity and not enough of an obsession with thinking and hard work. “We don’t know how we got here or why but all that matters to us is that we are here and we have lots of things to buy.”This is in my opinion the average person’s philosophy in life aside from striving for the illusion of security. We involve ourselves in those thoughts, activities, subjects we care deeply about. The issue is that many people do not allow themselves the opportunity to learn about the important issue going on all around them. They choose to cage themselves within their own mental prisons that prevent them from seeing the reality that lives on while they are asleep. I really like your thoughts.
